I found i of these chambered in 30-06 at a good price in new erstwhile stock condition, its not a Large Game model this one is just the regular A7 stainless/synthetic sporter......I take owned a few of these but information technology was several years back, equally I remember they functioned well and shot MOA no problem merely I didnt keep them long so I dont know how they might have faired in the long run....Thanks Hb

My 308 and 25-06 shoot sub MOA and unremarkably sub .five MOA if I'm on my game. Great rifles all together in my book. I'd buy one in thirty-06 if I found a decent bargain!

I have a A-7 crude tech.... liked everything about it, except the factory stock. Swapped it out for a McMillan Sako Archetype. Mine is a 300 win mag and will place 200 gr partitions into a ragged hole at 100 yards . This could exist my merely Big Game Burglarize if had to sparse my collection.

I've got ii. One is 7/08 and the other was a 270wsm re- barreled to 300saum.

They are a slap-up action and very accurate. I can't fault them except yes, I have had rounds popular out of the mag. Its an easy set up past just closing the stainless mag lips a fiddling scrap.

Both of mine get a lot of work hunting and on the range. I would by another one in a flash.

One of My LGS has an A7 stainless with duratouch stock in 30-06 that they have had for years, its still NIB and never on display, the Guy offered it to Me for $800.00 out the door...I am thinking it would make me a adept fowl weather burglarize, and I am a trivial partial to the thirty-06 cartridge 👍.....Hb

Had ii both were good shooters, I like'em. Sold them when I was thinning out. Just a FYI Eurooptic has black synthetic 85s on auction in 270 and '06. Merely got one. 899 and they send you lot a $100 souvenir card, couldn't laissez passer it upwards as I was eyeing the same one on GB for $500 more.

Buy it , I have ane in 7mm magazine . Have shot crappy winchester 150 grain PP thru it and all holes touch. I program on putting an 85 bolt shroud on information technology, titanium lug and a mcmillan edge when I am all done. It weighs vi 3/4 lbs as is from the factory. The new duratouch stocks are way meliorate then the flimsy stocks they had when they first came out

Expert luck with information technology. Information technology is not a perfect rifle by any means and some Sako aficiniados might turn their nose upwards at it. Here is my view of it

Scale of 1-10

Out of the box accuracy 10
Ergonomics 9...points like a fine shotgun ...very sparse rifle besides
Smoothness of action 10
Trigger 10
FInish on butt and action 10
Magazine is a definite upgrade from a T3x

Negative
Plastika Shroud and trigger baby-sit. They tin can be replaced with a Sako 85 Commodities shroud (about 45 bucks) and an atlasworx aluminum trigger guard (around 115)

Thanks OE, I exercise the aforementioned matter when I rate rifles on their private components/attributes I accept a list of 8 criteria I rate on a calibration of i-10, if a burglarize scores over 70 its usually a keeper and if it scores 75 or more it is an exceptional rifle.....I accept ii of those mod 85 stainless shrouds and I accept been looking at the Atlas lesser metal, I volition about certainly buy some blackness bottom metallic from Atlas though I have read some mixed reviews on it.......Hb

VA , I wish someone else made the bottom metal, I had a bad experience with their first batch and I was unfortunately the guinea pig. I under stand they rectified the original blueprint so the mag actually snaps in place( I know a novel concept). if you lot accept a 85 shroud tool it will brand your life easier as well.

Have iii A7'southward. A Tecomate in .270 WSM, a Coyote in .243 Win. and a SS Duratouch in .308 Win. Like them very much. No issues with the magazines.

The magazines are junk and I sold mine because of it. Both me and a buddy have had bug with the mags property rounds, they pop out on their ain at someday. Betwixt the two of us they warrantied 4 of them. They claimed they fixed them in the newer generations but we both still had bug until I fixed it myself past upgrading to an 85. Shot well but a piffling on the heavy side and the mags were atrocious. I'd go with a real 85 finnlight over any A7.

Wow that is some serious hard luck with the magazine. If they do pop they tin exist fixed quite easilyl, there are a lot of magazines with metal feed lips that have to be "adapted" from time to time, including your Sako 85 and my Sako 75.
